“Flowers leave part of their fragrance in the hand that bestows them."

The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled.  As long as our ideas are expressed and thoughts kindled, we can be sure of learning as everything begins with an idea. Just as our mother earth gives us more and more, Learning is not a process limited to schools and colleges only, nor does it end with the conclusion of one's school career. It is indeed a lifelong process. It is further characterized by sharing vision, responsibility and above all love and faith in goal in order to achieve it.

We live today in a world that is very different from the one we grew up, in the one we were educated in. The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate where we need to pause and reflect on this entire system of education. We at CKD, are well equipped to prepare our children to face the challenges that the future holds and work at implementing a well-balanced curriculum to ensure that the children who walk into the portals of SGHPS will not just leave their school years but truly be prepared to face life's challenges.

Even as we impart education to match the advancement in technology and globalization, we march our children ahead with ethos of moral values and principles. We endeavor constantly to instill these qualities in our children. We pride ourselves to help them grow and develop into sensitive and responsible citizens of the future.

Because we believe, "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all".

"The aim of education is the knowledge not of facts but of values."

Values are virtues, ideals and qualities on which actions and believes are based. Values are guiding principles that shape are world outlook, attitudes and conduct. Values however are either innate or acquired. Value education is important to help everyone in improving the value system that he or she holds and put them to use. It's our duty to uphold the various types of ethics in life such as cultural, universal, personal and social values. The values make the personality of the person and decide the growth of the individual, family, society, nation and the humanity.

Values are essential building blocks on which an education for a humanistic and international society must be built on. This boosts self-esteem both personal and cultural; promote respect and tolerance for others as individuals and as members of ethnic/cultural groups; and creates a sense of belonging. Value based education promotes a secure physical, emotional and political locus within society, a sense of responsibility in relation to social, political, economic, cultural and environment factors. This approach to education can prove a well-rounded development and help students aim the highest.

A value based educational system is an integral part of human intellectual development.  Values add to the quality of life. Human values are closely integrated with human life. They are intertwined with our day-to-day chores. The home is the first place to learn and be inculcated with values. The school is the second setting in which you can nurture and celebrate values. As an integral part of education system, teacher education is intimately related to the society. Value based education promotes a thought provoking and interactive environment for the students through the values incorporated in the curriculum. It promotes quality education and holistic development of each child for bright future.

It teaches them the best way to live that can be beneficial to individuals as well as the people around them. Value education also helps the students to become more and more responsible and sensible. It helps them to understand the perspective of life in a better way and lead a successful life as a responsible citizen.
